Restraint of Trade Clause:
One of the inclusions in certain contracts is the restraint of trade clause
(ROT). The ROT clause is a clause that restricts an employee from joining
a competitor firm. This clause, however, can often be challenged and the
rights of the employee could be preserved. Nonetheless, each case must still
be studied on its own.
